Senior Citizens Program/ Deacon Ordination: Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church will have the ordination of Eric Butler to the order of Deacon, Sunday, Nov. 15 during regular worship services.

Archive Hours: The Edgefield County Archives Office has new hours.  The Archives Office will be open on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9AM to 12PM.  Other hours are available by appointment only.  Please call 803-637-4000 to schedule an appointment.

Fall Revival: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Johnston is having their annual fall revival November 11-12, Wednesday & Thursday nights @ 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev Sammie Williams, Pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. The public is invited. Rev. Lewis Burt is the pastor.

Auction: Harmony UMC will have an Auction on November 14, at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Doors will open at 8 a.m. for preview. Breakfast and lunch items will be for sale. Auction items can be previewed on the church website at www.johnston-harmonyumc.org   All proceeds will benefit the Harmony United Methodist Church Building Fund. Harmony UMC is located at 98 Bouknight Rd., Johnston.

Lighthouse Fellowship: Lighthouse Fellowship Church will be showing a DVD Sermon, “The Rapture” by Pastor John Hagee on November 14, at 4 p.m. His message has been preached to millions around the world. Everyone is welcome. Pastor James Coleman. Church is located on Two Mile Drive right behind Farm Bureau.

BBQ Benefit: A BBQ benefit for Carson Hatcher son of Brian and Chapelle and grandson of Larry and Donna Hatcher will be held Saturday, Nov. 14 from 4-7 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1186 Mt. Calvary Rd., Johnston. $8 eat in or take out. For more info call the church office at 803-685-7523

Missionary Program : Pleasant Lane Baptist Church Missionary Program will be held Sunday, Nov. 15, at 10:45. Speaker will be Min. Rosa Fernandez. Rev. Melvin Searles, Sr. is pastor.

Veterans Program: Johnston Pentecostal Holiness will have Veterans Sunday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. Veterans will be honored. The film, Captured by Grace, the Louis Zamperini story will shown as part of the program. This is an event the whole family will enjoy.

Legion Auxiliary: The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 30 will meet on Monday, November 16, at 3:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held at the Senior Citizen Council Bldg.  Try to make arrangements to attend.

Book Fair: W.E.Parker Elementary invites you to their Fall Book Fair, Nov.16-20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Parker Media Center. For more info call Melissa Nicholson at 637-4020. Profits will be used to purchase books and supplies for the school library.

Auxiliary Fall Festival: Edgefield County Hospital Auxiliary will have a bake sale, Nov. 20, in the hospital dining room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items will include jams, jellies, pickles, muffins, pies, cakes and breads; Raffles include a turkey and ham and 2 gift baskets.The public is welcome.

Choir Anniversary/ Men & Women’s Day Program: Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church Senior Choir will have their annual Choir Anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. On Sunday, Nov. 22, they will celebrate their annual Men and Women’s Day Program during regular worship services.
