The Live Nativity produced Dec. 20 and 21 by Johnston United Methodist Church was a great attraction that brought many out of county visitors as well as local citizens. The crowds were so large that it became necessary to leave one’s car behind and walk to the site to get a best viewing.
This is the second year for this church event. The county is fortunate to have three church events that are novel and draw much interest: Edgefield’s Tour of Churches, Philippi’s Living Christmas Tree and Johnston UMC’s Live Nativity Scene. Other churches have cantatas and gatherings of note, which may be less advertised but much appreciated.
