The Democratic Party held their County Convention on March 24, 2016, at the County Council Chambers. Elections were held for leadership in the coming year of elections.

The new Chairman of the Democratic Party for Edgefield County is James Bibbs, Jr.; First Vice Chair, Robert Scott; 2nd Vice Chair, Debra Barley; Secretary, Saletha Lewis; Treasurer, Calvin Cook; Executive Committeeman Willie C. Bright; Executive Committeewoman, Carol Scott; Alternate Executive Committeeman, Nathaniel Jackson; Alternate Executive Committeewoman, Linda Quarles.
