James E. Presley – Ridge Spring, SC

Ridge Spring – James Edward Pressley was born June 5, 1944. in Chester County. He was the son of the. Late. E.W. and Margaret Cox Pressley. Jim (known as “Bill” to some) died June 7, 2016 at his home.

Jim graduated from Great Falls High School and joined the US Navy. He retired from the US Postal Service and enjoyed 13 years of retirement after moving from Winnsboro to Ridge. Spring. He enjoyed Carolina Gamecock sports, golfing, and taking trips with his wife. Jim was a member of Ridge Spring UMC and the Ridge Spring American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Rosalyn Lee Pressley, daughters Jan (Tony) Cope, Josianna (Mark) Rodgers, & Renee Arnette, six grandchildren, April Stevens, Terrence Hightower, Amber (Anyjony) Rauton, Jonathon (Shermaine) Watts, Annalee Rodgers, & Aiden Rodgers, and four great-grandchildren, Ava Watts, River Rauton, Londyn Watts, and Pressley Rauton, a sister, Pat (Greg) Meyer, and his mother-in-law, Letty Lee.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Diane and Emmie. it daughter, Letitia Fitzsimmons, and a great-granddaughter, Leagrace Rose Rauton. who was the light of his life. Lea and LG are now together, whole and healthy and happy and dancing with Christ.

The family will receive visitors at the Ridge Spring United Methodist Church Family Life Center Friday. June 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. and then celebrate his life with a service at 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Ridge Spring United Methodist Church Building Fund.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.
