Johnston, SC – Graveside Services for Mrs. Verna Cromley  Forrest, age 86, will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Mount of Olives Cemetery, Johnston, with Pastor Paul Volpitto and Rev. Barry Epps officiating.    The family will receive friends following the service in the Johnston Presbyterian Church Social Hall.  Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Nichols, Gene Forrest, Gorden Haltiwanger, Forrest Haltiwanger, Harry and William Bell, Billy Rodgers, Clark Rushton, Dr. Wade Nichols, Joe Mueller, Richard Forrest and Bill Forrest.

Mrs. Forrest  died Wednesday,  June 22, 2016.  She was a daughter of the late Julian Verne and Ada Griffith Cromley.   Mrs. Verna,  a loving mother and wife, was a homemaker and a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter: Ava Burdell (Billy); sons: James M. Forrest, Jr. (Vivian), Henry C. Forrest, Memmus Forrest, H. Joseph Forrest (Wanda), and Richard Forrest; daughter-in-law: Terri Forrest; sister: Mabel C. Nichols; fifteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband James M. Forrest, Sr.  and son, Andrew Forrest.
