Mount Vintage Golf Course Purchased by HOA

The golf course at Mount Vintage Plantation has been purchased by the Mount Vintage Homeowners’ Association.  Edgefield County Councilman and resident of the community, Rodney Ashcraft, confirmed the recent purchase to The Advertiser in an interview Friday, Aug. 12.  Saying that ever homeowner now has a “vested interest” in the property, Ashcraft explained, “We’re controlling our own destiny.”

When asked if there will be changes to the property, Ashcraft said the changes will be that the HOA will “actually run it good” and “maintained it well.”  Ashcraft admitted that the course was not in the condition the HOA would have liked to have been, but assured, “The golf course will be greatly improved before the summer is out.”  Ashcraft went on to say, “It’s gonna be a big deal again,” and added, “We want the county to be real proud of it.”
