Willie Mae Bussey  Swearingen, 94, wife of the late John S. Swearingen, died Sunday August 7, 2016.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 11 AM at Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM before the service at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.

Mrs. Swearingen was a native of Edgefield County,  retired from Strom Thurmond High School and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church.

Survivors include 2 sons: Robert T. “Bobby” (Elaine) Swearingen, and Richard C. (Frances) Swearingen; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son John W. (Jake) Swearingen.
