EDGEFIELD – Mr. Russell McCollum, 70, husband of Jan T. McCollum, of Sundown Drive, entered into rest on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at University Hospital. His memorial service was held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Chaplain Hank Flowers officiating. Mr. McCollum was an avid sportsman. He was a member of the Swamp & Hill Hunting Club and the Cypress Bay Hunting Club. He refereed many local high school games. He retired as an insurance adjustor for Allstate Insurance Company. He enjoyed traveling and wood working. Additional survivors include one son, Corky McCollum and his wife Paula of Panama City, FL; two daughters, Terri Mazzella and her husband Scott of Ponce Inlet, FL, and Lindy Rushton and her husband Gary of North Augusta, SC; three sisters, Merryann Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Sally Blackledge and Lindy McCollum, both of San Diego, CA; and four grandchildren, Skyler Reiman, Sidney Reiman, Rowan McCollum, and Toryn Russell McCollum.
