Friday, November 11 – Veterans Day – from 9:30-10:30 a.m., area Veterans will be honored at a county-wide event to be held at the Strom Thurmond High School stadium, 1131 Columbia Rd, Johnston, SC.

The program will include a “march on” by area Veterans, a musical tribute to each branch of service represented, choral presentations and words of appreciation by State Senator Shane Massey and others.

Show your red, white and blue colors and plan to attend this meaningful tribute to the brave men and women of our county and beyond who have served and sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy. Hosting the event is the Johnston American Legion Post 154 with former Miss South Carolina, Jane Jenkins Herlong, acting as emcee.
