SNELLING, S.C. – Funeral services for Dana Doughtie Jones, 52, of Snelling, SC will be held two p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Seven Pines Baptist Church, Snelling, SC with burial in the Seven Pines Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Saturday, December 6^th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 28105. Dana passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was a daughter of Barbara Nichols Doughtie and the late Thomas Truitt Doughtie, Sr. She was a 1981 graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School. She was a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church, the M and M’s, worked with Vacation Bible School and served on other committees. She was employed at SRS having worked as a production operator.

Survivors include her loving husband, Barry Wayne Jones; her mother, Barbara Doughtie; sister, Trina D. Sanders of Barnwell; sister-in-law, Marlene C. Doughtie of Williston; brothers, George Doughtie of California, John Doughtie of Barnwell, Ross (Shannon) Doughtie of Snelling; father-in-law, Jimmie Jones and mother-in-law, Daphne Murrell and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas “T. J.” Doughtie, Jr.
